The
Bonaire Marine Park scheduled a couple press trips - one to Boca Slagbaai
on Thursday and one via boat on Friday to view the damage caused by
the waves.

![]() Easily the most devastated buildings were the Green Parrot Restaurant and the Sand Dive and Photo Shops. These buildings have suffered from wind reversals in the past but never like this. Rumor has it that these buildings will not be rebuilt at sea level but the businesses will relocate to higher locals. |

![]() The saddest damage to our island was to our historic Boca Slagbaai Plantation house in Washington Park. Photos of this landhuis grace many postcards, books, and memories of Bonaire. Plans are already in the works to repair the damage to this lovely building. |
